Rajkumar:I'm surprised it's that popular. I don't even know how I got through the first season. The show goes "there's gonna be gold here if we keep digging." "Oh no, something broke" and the entire episode shows them fixing what broke. Rinse and repeat, every single episode is only that.

For all their efforts these tools have NO GUTS, NO GLORY and NO GOLD.
But it is an entertaining show. We love watching these clueless dolts scar the earth with their oversized Tonka toys as the narrator and soundtrack inject drama at just the right time.
An original clown crew member who left the show in Season 1 has revealed the show is scripted, phony, faked; yet we still watch. It seems the real 'gold' is the revenue generated by the show. Over 5 million viewers for one episode means huge money for the cable network and the show's owner. Well that owner is Frickin Todd and he has made a fortune. He tosses a few crumbs to the stooges on his crew.
Todd knew where the real 'gold' was all along. He's a Frickin genius.
